Robert Underdunk Terwilliger Jr., better known as Sideshow Bob, is a recurring antagonist in the animated TV show, The Simpsons. He began as Krusty the Clown's sidekick on his show.
Sideshow Bob first appeared in the episode "The Telltale Head" (Season 1, 1990) as a non-speaking character. However, his first major role and true debut as a villain was in "Krusty Gets Busted" (Season 1, 1990), where he frames Krusty for armed robbery.
Bob is characterized by his refined speech, high intelligence, and frequent attempts to murder Bart Simpson, whom he blames for his downfall. He also has a distinct appearance, highlighted by his large red hair, and baritone voice.
